Initially, we thought we were building an indoor kart racing center surrounded by conference rooms, a ballroom, and a restaurant. We quickly learned that we had actually built a conference center, with kart tracks in the middle. Businesses in the region booked us solid immediately, for meetings, team building events and corporate parties with racing. Apparently, they had just been waiting for a more exciting venue.

The Concept
Provide companies, organizations and individuals with a unique alternative to typical hotel and conference center venues, with the thrill of European style indoor kart racing, extraordinary catering and restaurant options, and an unparalleled level of event planning and customer service.
The Facility
F1 Boston is a 106,000 square foot facility 10 miles south of Boston, at the intersection of three major roads in the region. The facility offers a wide variety of meeting amenities, including eight separate meeting rooms ranging from 500 to 1500 square feet, a 6,000 square foot exhibition/banquet hall, state-of-the-art AV communications systems and professional event planning assistance. Full catering and menu planning services are on-site, with service capabilities for parties from 10 to 600, offering everything from casual to gourmet fare. There is also the Ascari Restaurant & Bar, a traditional Billiards Room, The Store@F1 Boston – and, of course, racing.
Our two indoor, multi-level kart tracks were the first indoor kart racing tracks in the country. They have become New England’s premier indoor tracks – and are considered the “gold standard” of indoor kart tracks throughout North America. The tracks are considered the ultimate indoor kart racing experience for on-demand, “Arrive and Drive” racing for individuals and small groups, leagues, schools, and endurance races. They are also available for corporate and private events – and have proven extremely popular for team building events. F1 Boston also offers a Pit Stop Team Challenge event that helps business teams become more effective at recognizing individual skills and working together in groups.
The Results
We opened F1 Boston in June of 2000, to extensive media buzz and immediate individual and corporate interest. Meetings and corporate events were booked solid until the economic downturn, when Arrive and Drive racing, leagues and schools became primary at the facility. Now, celebrating its 16th year in operation, F1 Boston continues to be busy with individual and group racing – and is again becoming filled with corporate meetings, conferences and team building events.
